Ken Price, RFT
Executive Summary
Ken Price, RFT, is a member of the K’ómoks First Nation, an experienced Indigenous consultant in the forest industry, and a Registered Forest Technician (RFT) in good standing with Forest Professionals BC since 2006.
Ken has more than 32 years of forestry experience, specializing in GIS, operations, log marketing, and project management. His career highlights include contributions to the Great Bear Rainforest Agreement, leadership in forestry certifications, provincial-level policy work, and building collaborative partnerships with First Nations across coastal BC.
Ken’s leadership experience includes serving as both an elected councillor (2011–2013) and chief councillor (2022–2024) for the K’ómoks First Nation, as well as representing Mosaic Forest Management at the provincial level on matters of forest policy.
As chief, in collaboration with the council, he was responsible for the overall governance of the First Nation. His involvement in certification processes has also provided him with a deep understanding of standards, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Ken is committed to using his skills and experience to support sustainable forestry practices, advance First Nations partnerships, and contribute to the ongoing strength and integrity of the forestry profession.
