Board Elections
Voting for the 78th Forest Professionals British Columbia Board election opens December 9, 2024, and closes January 9, 2025.
Kerri Simmons, RPF, currently board vice-chair, will be chair of the 78th board. Kelly Kitsch, RFT, the current board chair, becomes past-chair. Dave Clarke, RPF, a board member at large, will be the new vice-chair.
There are three registrant candidates for two board members at large positions: Molly Hudson, RPF, RPBio, Joe Kenny, P.Eng, RPF, and Meggin Messenger, MPA, BSc.F, RPF.
Voting will again be conducted via Survey Monkey. If you have opted out of receiving emails from Survey Monkey, you will not receive a link to the online ballot. You can opt in to emails on the Survey Monkey website. If you do not receive a link to the board election ballot after December 9, please contact the communications department.

- board members at large Derek Burdikin, RPF, Juliet Goveia, RPF, and Janice Mathers, RPF;
- government-appointed board members Alison Dempsey, LLB/JD, LLM, PhD; Margaret Lanthier, BA, B.Ed, CIM, Ian Miles, MBA, C.Dir, and David Morel.
We thank Jamie Jeffreys, RPF, and Sally Sellars, RPF(non-practising), whose terms on the board are ending.
The 78th FPBC Board will take office at the annual FPBC forestry conference and AGM in February.
FPBC’s nomination committee establishes the slate of candidates for election to the board as required by Section 26 of the Professional Governance Act (PGA). The nomination committee confirms registrant candidates meet integrity, merit-based selection, and procedural principles required by the PGA.
