Renew Your Registration
Registration Renewal
All FPBC registrants must renew their registration between October 1 and November 30 each year.
Renewal notices are emailed in October.
When it is time to renew, sign into the registrant portal and click on the Renew registration button (will appear during registration period).
Important Dates
- October: Registrant renewal notice emailed out.
- November 30: Final date to renew your FPBC registration, to avoid having your registration suspended.
- January 31: Final deadline. If renewal is not completed by this date, your registration will be cancelled and you lose your authorization to practise professional forestry or use any protected forest professional title in BC.
Steps to Renew Your Registration
All practising registrants must complete five steps to renew:
- Step 1: Ensure your contact information is current;
- Step 2: Identify your professional practice areas;
- Step 3: Complete your annual competence declaration;
- Step 4: Submit your annual indictable offence declaration;
- Step 5: Pay your fees.
Trainees and Retired Registrants Only Need to Complete Three Steps to Renew:
- Step 1: Ensure your contact information is current;
- Step 2: Submit your annual indictable offence declaration;
- Step 3: Pay your fees.
You Must Complete All Required Steps to Renew
If you haven’t completed all the required steps by November 30, your registration will be suspended and you will be subject to additional fees to complete your registration renewal.
If you don’t complete all steps by January 31, you will lose your authorization to practise professional forestry or use any protected forest professional title in BC and will be required to apply for reinstatement to resume practice.
