Sign up for the BC Bee Course from the Native Bee Society of BC (NBSBC).
This course is a deep dive into the biology and taxonomy of the diverse and amazing native bees of BC. We will spend three days in the lab at Okanagan College in Penticton, looking at bee specimens under the microscope. You will learn to identify bumble bees to the species level, and all other BC bees to genera. This will be followed by two field days in the south Okanagan, learning field survey methods and observing a great diversity of native bees and plants.
