This is full time temporary opportunity up to one (1) year located in Williams Lake. This temporary opportunity may be extended and/or become a permanent position.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved Telework Agreement.

$67,931.58 - $86,624.56 annually

This Tenures Forester position provides professional advisory services as specialist in a field of expertise of a program area (e.g.: Resource Authorizations, Forest Health, Forest and Range Evaluation Program (FREP), Silviculture, Fuel/Fire Management, Ecosystem Restoration, Timber Supply Reviews, Land Based Investment Strategy) to support natural resource management and decision making in the Cariboo-Chilcotin Natural Resource District.

Qualifications for this role include:
- Registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as a fully licensed Registered Professional Forester with Forest Professionals BC (FPBC). Note: immediately eligible for registration is defined as being able to transfer a current membership from an applicable jurisdiction to FPBC within six (6) months of employment. Under implementation of this position at the LSO 1A level may be considered, provided an applicant is registered with FPBC and is actively in-training (FIT, ASFIT) at the time of the offer of employment and can achieve their full RPF designation with FPBC within two (2) years of their start date. Confirmation of registration/eligibility is required before an offer of employment can be made.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in the natural resource field or equivalent as recognized by FPBC.
- Related experience working in natural resource management.
- Experience in consulting with partners and stakeholders in natural resource management.
