Silvatech is accepting resumes for the position(s) of Sr. Forest Technologist. The position(s) require resource technologists to carry out reconnaissance, road and block layout, cruising, GPS surveys, site plans, waste and residue surveys and various assessments and associated reports. We mentor and cross train new people in their career development process to give them a diversity of skills. We are a family friendly company, minimizing time away from home. The position(s) are full-time based at Kamloops and Salmon Arm, BC. We offer competitive remuneration and benefits commensurate with experience and responsibilities.  Pay range $29.00 – 37.00 per hr.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forest Technologist Diploma or equivalent
• RFT certification or soon eligible
• Timber development experience
• Cruising, site prescriptions experience
• Waste and residue survey experience an asset
• Efficient and safety conscious
• Good written and interpersonal communication skills
• Good people / team player skills
• A mature, teachable, flexible attitude
• Good computer technology skills
• Valid BC drivers license
• Level 1 First Aid, S100 Wildfire, ATV safety and Bear Aware training
