Salary – $50-70k (salary depends on how awesome and experienced you are), biannual
profit share, RRSP contributions, training allowance, professional dues, signing and
staying bonus, 5 weeks vacation, gear allowance, health and wellness account,
relocation expense and access to company trucks.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Wildfire Technician you will be responsible for the following:
- Leading the execution of multiple wildfire planning and operational projects
throughout BC
- Supervise and deliver the field and office work for Fuel Management
Prescriptions, Community Wildfire Resiliency Plans, and Tactical Wildfire Plans
- Conduct all work in accordance with the forestry and wildfire legal and regulatory
regimes
- Assist with business development, marketing, and proposal writing
- Lead training of wildfire division staff
- Lead the safe field and office operations

What we are looking for:

- Down-to-earth vibe and high level of self-awareness
- A willingness to bite off more than you can chew
- A heathy obsession with wildland fire
- 1-2 years planning at the site, sub-landscape and landscape level in BC.
- Registered with Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC)  or eligible for registration as RPF or FIT; RFT or TFT
- Experience with fuel management prescriptions, and fuel management
implementation, and/or supervision
- Experience with community wildfire protection planning (and bonus if you have
fire behaviour modeling experience)!
- Adept with CFFDRS and Fire Behaviour Prediction System fuel types
- Up-to-date with all Understanding of wildfire funding regimes – CRI, FESBC, and
FireSmart/WRR.
- Experience in wildfire prevention especially controlled fire (considered an asset)
