The Planning Team is an experienced group of five (5) Forest Professionals who are passionate about shaping the future of local timber development. As a Planning Forester, you'll develop & maintain a long-term operating plan that aligns with legislative requirements. You will manage field assessment contracts, oversee the submission of final reports and play a key role in supporting the business area’s goals. Qualifications for this role include:
- A Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or be eligible for registration as an RPF with Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC) and two (2) years of experience in operational field forestry activities.
- Must possess at minimum a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence that does not limit or restrict the ability to conduct the duties of the job.
Operational field forestry activities include the following:

- Timber harvesting monitoring/conformance
- Cut-block development
- Forest road engineering
- Silviculture
- Timber tenure development and administration
- Planning integrated resource management
Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:
- Directly related planning and integrated resource management experience.
- Experience working with Indigenous Peoples.
- Coursework or experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications.
- Experience working with Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) data.
