Reporting to the Planning Superintendent, the Planning Forester will work with a team of professionals responsible for all timber development activities. Our Planning Foresters enjoy a unique and balanced mix of field and office work, providing exposure to all aspects of our diversified and integrated business.
You'll Do:
- Completing all necessary field work, including cut block and road layout
- Harvesting and road plan design
- Government and First Nations liaison
- Contract administration and supervision
- Incorporating wildlife and other environmental values into harvest area designs
- Consulting stakeholders
You have:
- Possesses a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Professional Forester Tech (RPFT) designation for Alberta (or be eligible and willing to earn this designation).
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Be highly motivated, with proven organizational skills.
- Experience in harvest area design and layout
Compensation Package:
- The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
