Junior/Intermediate/Senior Logging Engineers and Forestry Technicians 2025

Forestry Technicians help with forest management by collecting the needed data for forest management. Our operations primarily focus on pre-harvest assessment and include, riparian assessment and mapping, boundary and road layout, identifying logging hazards, timber reconnaissance, and GPS traversing.

Your Workplace Location:Port Alberni, Campbell River, Vancouver Island and Mainland Coast
Wages: Competitive ; Depending on Experience

Responsibilities:
• Boundary and Road Layout and Traverse
• Riparian Assessment, mapping, and prescriptions application
• Road Engineering estimates and appraisal data field survey
• Timber reconnaissance and stand level timber type stratification
• Timber Cruising Compass-person

Requirements:

• Basic field work experience using GPS, avenza, and other mapping programs
• A safety conscious attitude, Traveling, A love of the outdoors
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• 1 year of Forestry-related experience
• Punctuality, dependability, and accountability in the field
• The ability to work away from home for scheduled periods of time
• Previous experience operating ATVs and pick-up trucks safely on various road conditions is an asset
• Post-secondary education in natural resources, forestry or a related field is an asset
• Education in forestry with a Forestry Tech Diploma, Forestry Degree, Natural Resource and Environmental Science Degree, RPF or RFT designation and/or experience within the forestry field is preferred
