The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for an Intermediate Planning Forest Professional to join our Forestry Department. This is a growth- oriented role with a clear path to senior leadership for the right candidate. Based in Vernon or Williams Lake, the role involves a balance of office-based and field-based work. You’ll work alongside a team of RPFs and technicians, contributing to full-phase development, forest planning, and operational delivery across a variety of tenures—including community forest and First Nations partnerships
Key Responsibilities:
• Cutblock and road layout/design
• Forest development assessments and site plans
• Forest Planning
• Fuel management and wildfire risk reduction planning
• Road deactivation assessments and prescriptions
• Preparation of appraisal and permitting packages
• Field data collection and reporting
What We’re Looking For:
• 3–5 years of relevant forestry experience
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
• RPF designation (or eligible for registration) preferred
• Proficiency with ESRI and Microsoft Office tools
• Solid working knowledge of BC forestry regulations
• Strong communication, organization, and team skills
• Valid BC Driver’s License
• Physically fit and comfortable with remote fieldwork
• Experience operating 4x4 trucks, quads, and sled
