FTELP Forest Technologist

$64,123.59 - $72,674.35 annually, plus $44.49 bi-weekly isolation allowance for Mackenzie

BC Timber Sales (BCTS) offers a valuable opportunity for recent forest technology graduates through our Forest Technologist Entry Level Program (FTELP). This two-year program provides hands-on experience in forestry while supporting you in obtaining your forest professional designation. You'll be part of a well-established team of up to 18 members, including other FTELP technologists, supervisors, and specialists, all working together in a collaborative environment. To find out more about BCTS, check out our video.

In this role, you will work on technical and operational tasks related to planning, engineering, harvesting, and reforestation. With the support of experienced mentors, you’ll progress from learning to handling these tasks independently across our northern business areas. The program develops your skills and prepares you for a successful transition into a role based on your interest within BCTS upon completion. For more information about living and working in Northern BC for the Ministry of Forests, see this video. For more information about the FTELP, check out this video.
