Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced forest technician to assist with our various development projects around the Southern Interior of BC, who will uphold our company values, attention to detail, and reputation for quality. This is a field-based position which will work collaboratively with our technical team on our various multiphase development projects. Your main responsibilities will include timber reconnaissance, cut-block layout, road layout, timber cruising and silviculture surveying.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in forestry and registered (or eligible for registration) with the FPBC
  • Experience in timber reconnaissance, cut-block layout (conventional, cable, and heli), road layout, timber cruising, SP plots, stream assessments and/or silviculture surveying
  • Minimum 5 years of forestry work experience
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading harvest and road development projects
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s license
  • Commitment to safety and stewardship
  • Good physical condition and able to withstand the rigors of a forest environment
  • Must be willing to work out of town on a “5 & 2” and/or “10 & 4” schedule as required
