THE JOB IN BRIEF
The mandate of Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC) is to protect the public and the environment by regulating the practice of professional forestry in BC. A team of talented and competent individuals provide a comprehensive range of professional, technical, and administrative support to ensure that the corporate mandate is observed, and operational objectives are realized.
A pivotal position on our compliance team is the Deputy Director, Compliance. This role has three primary areas of accountability:
- Leading the complaint and investigation process related to registrants.
- Addressing unauthorized forestry practices and ensuring compliance with FPBC’s regulations and bylaws.
- Developing policies, managing contracts for investigators, and staying informed of relevant legal or discipline decisions.
You need to be practising Registered Professional Foresters (RPF) or practising Registered Forest Technologists (RFT) in good standing with FPBC. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing responsibilities independently, thrives in dynamic environments, and excels at driving projects to completion.
This role is based in Vancouver, BC, but remote work options may be considered for candidates located in other BC cities, subject to considerations such as travel ease, technology reliability, and local amenities.
